Umberto Gesi, originally from Italy, is a member of the EDC-EurAsia Dance Company as a dancer performing the Repertory of the EurAsia Dance Project International Network directed by Stefano Fardelli.

Umberto Gesi started his professional studies in contemporary dance in Florence at Centro Internazionale Danza e
Spettacolo Opus Ballet. After getting his Cultural Heritage Studies degree at UniMi he returned to study contemporary dance in Milan at Artichoke Formazione Danza Ricerca, to then conclude his training in Salzburg at S.E.A.D.


He then continued to study internationally with choreographers such as Wim Vandekeybus/Ultima Vez, Hofesh Shecter Dance Company, Roberto Castello, Elio Gervasi and Virgilio Sieni.


He is currently attending an acting program at Paolo Grassi Civic School in Milan.

He choreographed the scenic movements for Ipotesi di Medea by the Rome based company Nogu Teatro.

 

Throughout the years he has also been teaching contemporary dance at Botteghe Anonima Teatri Project curated by NotAcademy in Tuscania.
