Thanking Hannes Langolf for being our guest in 2021 and 2022 and for his beautiful work delivered during our collaborations, Stefano Fardelli is pleased to announce the name of the next EurAsia Guest Artist, in charge in 2023 & 2024. He will be touring to different Institution Partners, to work with the EurAsia Students & Dancers but also with selected participants for workshops, classes, creations, shows, artistic residencies and much more.

The EurAsia Guest Artists include dancers, choreographers and artists who have a rich cultural background and successful careers preceding their name.

Maciej Kuźmiński

The second guest to launch this new artistic figure within EurAsia Dance Project International Network is Maciej Kuźmiński, with us until the end of 2024.

Maciej Kuźmiński is a very interesting emerging choreographer of Polish origin who has also been present on the international platform for years as a teacher and artistic director.

A graduate of Trinity Laban Conservatory in London, he launched his choreographic career in 2014 and since then has worked as a guest choreographer with Staatstheater Kassel, Scapino Ballet Rotterdam, Polish Dance Theatre, Theatre Regensburg Tanz, Šeiko Dance Company, and conservatoires like Codarts or PERA. He also stages and produces independent performances with his own project-based Maciej Kuźmiński Company. Kuźmiński develops his author method for movement and composition called Dynamic Phrasing, which is based on five pillars. In recent years he taught DP multiple times at ArtEZ, Codarts, PERA GAU, Belgrade Dance Institute and Dance Departament in Bytom, Poland. He also gives master classes at festivals and morning classes for companies he works with as a choreographer.

The choreographer has been honored with many awards and distinctions for his works including top prizes received in Hannover, Stuttgart, Belgrade, Gdańsk and Rotterdam festivals and competitions. His works represented Poland at Tanzmesse and, most recently, Codarts at the opening gala of Dutch Dance Days.

Dynamic Phrasing is an original method of movement and composition under development by Maciej Kuźmiński since 2009. Its main goal is to create and use the flow of energy through the body, which through a variety of rhythms and shades of quality builds versatility as well as a ‘soft power’ in the dancer. Based on 5 pillars: I – the Loop, II – Movement Research, III – Phrases & Repertoire, IV – Floor Work & V – Task Basket re-composition, Dynamic Phrasing creates a complete language of expression, while allowing the dancer to return to the joy and unity in movement. Maciej Kuźmiński, as a Dynamic Phrasing teacher, taught at the invitation of leading contemporary dance conservatories in Europe, such as Codarts Rotterdam, ArtEZ in Arnhem, Trinity Laban in London, University of Calgary in Canada, Belgrade Dance Institute and PERA in Cyprus. He also conducted many workshops for professional companies, including the Polish Dance Theatre, Staatstheater Kassel and his own project-based Maciej Kuźmiński Company. Dynamic Phrasing is the main tool of creation and dancer’s training for Kuźmiński.
