/// MŪL-SĀKHYA
premiere in Poland

The solo is by EurAsia Dancer Tejaswini Loundo, originally from India.

The piece displays the beautiful relationship between ‘nayika’ (a classic Indian heroine) and her ‘nupura’ (ankle bells). The choreography unfolds as they are having a conversation; through their affection and separation emerges their spiritual relationship. The nupura are her faithful companions and it can be said that through dancing they become an extension of each other.

EurAsia Artistic Director selected MŪL-SĀKHYA for this year’s collaboration with EurAsia Partner Gdansk Solo Dance Contest, in Poland.

Every year Stefano Fardelli selects one of the EurAsia Dancers that will directly join the contest along with the other selected participants coming from all over the world.

Tejaswini just completed her three year professional program at the EurAsia Partner DanceHaus Accademia Susanna Beltrami of Milan, Italy, who also supported her solo dance project.

///GAMELAN

GAMELAN, with Fabrizio Calanna and EurAsia Dancer Tejaswini Loundo, is a project directed by Chiara Verzola with the choreographic research led by Fabrizio Calanna.
The live set is created by Verlazo.

GAMELAN is an investigation into the rite. From Dionysian parties, to Indian dances, to rave. The Rite as an experience of trance, of connection with Nature and transformation of perception and identity itself. But as also a forbidden, transgressive experience that highlights its antagonistic value compared to the dominant culture.
