To support the journey and research of the dancer Sly, we have onboard the local artist 𝗞𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗺 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗮𝗹𝘆 and, the operator and EurAsia Member 𝗕𝗮𝗶𝗱𝘆 𝗕𝗮.
𝗞𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗺, African musician and instrumentalist, will accompany us through the sound of his guitar, flute and instruments typical of the African tradition: the Calebasse or the Djembè, percussion instruments that create rhythms, vibrations, dynamics and beats.
𝗕𝗮𝗶𝗱𝘆 𝗕𝗮, artistic director of Mbosse Danse Company, EurAsia Partner from 2021 Mbosse Dance Company, with the fundamental role of tutoring and mentoring, will follow Sly in his creative process as an external eye, offering his experience and guiding him on his path within Crossroads.
During the 15 days of residency in Senegal, Sly will devote himself to research for the creation of a Solo and will be welcomed by Mbosse Dance Company, resident at the French Institute of Kaolack.
His freestyler experience will be enriched by the encounters with local communities, with groups of students from local dance schools and with Senegalese culture: a culture in which music and dance have an important meaning, where the pleasure of moving within the rhythm of songs and percussion translates into moments of harmony, joy and a strong sense of community.
Who will support the journey and the creation of our EurAsia Dancer @girishkumar_8?
The local artist @ricardocruztapia 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗼 𝗖𝗿𝘂𝘇, professional pianist who will accompany him with his works of classical and pop rock music, and the operator 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼 𝗗𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘇 𝗥𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗼̀𝗻, EurAsia Member, dancer, choreographer and artistic director of @fdrdance, EurAsia Partner of the network.
Three different experiences meet in dialogue and direct sharing.
To support the research of Matteo Sedda in India there will be the local artist 𝗥𝘂𝗱𝗿𝗮 𝗞𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗹, one of the most brilliant visual artists in Kolkata. His works, with a strong visual impact, through a lens and a queer gaze are the expression of the artist’s visions, emotions and creations.
Traveling with them is the operator 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗳𝗮𝗻𝗼 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶, Artistic Director of the international network Eurasia International Network and creator, as well as pillar, of this large and varied project such as Crossroads.
