EurAsia Dance Company in Padua
The E.D.C. – EurAsia Dance Company opened Spring 2026 with the outdoor version of the performance Ommanipadmehum, and next month it will also open this Autumn with the same piece — this time, in another park!
Again in Italy, but not in Milan this time, the E.D.C. will be in Padua for the La Sfera Danza Festival, bringing a new collaboration with dancers from Padova Danza, who will join forces with the company for the performance. Both institutions are EurAsia Partners.
Meanwhile, the duet Svarupa & Vyakta will be performed within the glass walls of the Giardino di Cristallo.
On October 11th, the E.D.C. will present both works at Giardino di Cristallo / Parco d’Europa:
- 11:00am C.E.T. – Ommanipadmehum, presented outdoors, together with dancers from Padova Danza.
- 4:00pm C.E.T. – Svarupa & Vyakta, performed within the glass walls of the Giardino di Cristallo.
About the piece OMMANIPADMEHUM:
OM-MANI-PADME-HUM which in Sanskrit literally means “honouring the lotus jewel”, focuses on the history and rituals of the Tibetan Buddhists of the Yellow Hat Order with a particular focus on their connection to the Shaolin monks and thus the study of their training.
A multicultural cast that translates the movements of the Shaolin monks with different nuances that reveal the origins of the various dancers and thus a quality of movement linked to the traditional dances of the performers that influence, and give character to, the entire piece.
About the piece SVARUPA & VYAKTA:
Svarupa-vyakta is a historical piece of Stefano Fardelli’s repertoire, a highly successful solo that toured the world between 2014 and 2019, danced by Stefano Fardelli himself, and that is now staged again for a duet and two dancers of the E.D.C. with the new title Svarupa & Vyakta. The original piece is a solo inspired by a trip to India and means “Self” in Sanskrit in two different ways as different will be the dialetic created between the dancers and the five balloons, which represent the projection of the “Self” in another dimension.
