Club Zak in Gdańsk/Poland announces the start of the 2022 Residence / Premiere – a contest for projects in the field of broadly understood contemporary dance.

The aim of the competition is to support and promote contemporary dance in all its forms and it is addressed to dancers from Poland and participants of the EurAsia Partner Gdansk Solo Dance Contest, part of the Gdańsk Dance Festival.

Selected projects will be realized at the Klub ŻAK in May and July 2022. The dancers will receive funds for the production of the performance submitted for the contest in the amount of PLN 6,000 for a duo, from PLN 10,000 to 20,000 for a performance with a cast of more than two dancers, technical assistance during 2 days of general rehearsals (acoustics and lighting technician), pre-premiere promotion, the possibility of using the rehearsal space and two weeks of a mentor supervision.

The mentors in the “residence / premiere” program are renowned dancers and choreographers.
In 2022, Susanna Leinonen and EurAsia Guest Artist Hannes Langolf , were invited for performing mentorship.

The residencies will end with premiere shows.

Hannes Langolf (DV8 Physical Theatre) is the first EurAsia Guest Artist to collaborate with EurAsia Dance Project International Network directed by Stefano Fardelli.

 The EurAsia Guest Artists are dancers, choreographers, successful artists, known to the international audience with an important career and cultural background, brought by Stefano Fardelli to the EurAsia Partners.
