Created & directed by Stefano Fardelli for the launch of EDC-EurAsia Dance Project and so part of the EurAsia Dance Project International Network repertory.
 
Stefano Fardelli has been creating pieces for the EurAsia Repertory for years that have been danced by other companies, but in 2023 the EDC -EurAsia Dance Company, the official company of the Network, was founded.

The piece has been commissioned by the Berlin Dance Institute, Germany, in collaboration with EurAsia Partner DANCEHAUSpiú , Italy, and supported by Italian Cultural Institute of Delhi and the General Consulate of Italy in Kolkata, India.

OM-MANI-PADME-HUM, which in Sanskrit literally means “honouring the lotus jewel”, is a new work by Stefano Fardelli that focuses on the history and rituals of the Tibetan Buddhists of the Yellow Hat Order with a particular focus on their connection to the Shaolin monks and thus the study of their training.
